Los taxistas del centro de Cartagena exigen vía libre para hacer servicios en La Manga a partir de hoy El sector se queja de que la ordenanza que les debe autorizar no está en vigor, pese a que se aprobó en febrero, y temen perder el pulso con las VTC
«Estamos dispuestos a atender las llamadas que nos lleguen en el próximo puente desde La Manga y a hacer los servicios que nos pidan», aseguró ayer el presidente de Unión Radio Taxi Cartagena, Eusebio Rodríguez. Indicó que la paciencia de los más de 200 profesionales a los que representa se ha agotado y que su centralita ya recibió el último fin de semana peticiones que quedaron desatendidas. Han pasado alrededor de tres meses desde que se aprobó la nueva ordenanza que liberaliza las carreras en todo el municipio, incluido el litoral turístico, pero aún no ha entrado en vigor. Y en el sector lo consideran un retraso inexplicable que puede hacerles perder el pulso que hay a nivel nacional, desde un par de años, con Uber, Cabify y otras empresas del sector de VTC.
La ordenanza, cuya negociación ya fue compleja, fue aprobada en febrero. En marzo recibió el visto bueno definitivo de administraciones superiores. Pero es necesario que la publique el Boletín Oficial de la Región y que después supere un plazo de alegaciones para que entre en vigor. Los técnicos de la Concejalía de Infraestructuras aseguraron que la ordenanza estará en vigor en un par de semanas, tres como mucho. Ayer trabajaban para tenerlo todo listo cuando eso suceda. El concejal de Servicios, Juan Pedro Torralba, fue informado por 'La Verdad' del problema que denuncian los taxistas, pero no respondió a las demandas de información. «Nosotros también le hemos dirigido varias peticiones de explicaciones y no hemos recibido ninguna», aseguró Rodríguez. Entre los conductores de la flota de taxis de Cartagena hay un temor «justificado», según Rodríguez, de que poco a poco haya menos trabajo a repartir. Por eso, La Manga es un caladero de clientes al que no quieren renunciar. Menos aún ahora que la apertura del Aeropuerto de Corvera permite que los taxistas de Murcia puedan hacer servicios desde allí hasta La Manga y recoger de vuelta a quienes necesitan transporte. La normativa local debería estar publicada ya y entrar en vigor en un máximo de tres semanas «Nos enfrentamos a tres días no laborables, entre el fin de semana y el lunes festivo, porque el Día de la Región cae en domingo. Y eso puede representar muchos servicios», explicó el taxista. Por ahora, las empresas de VTC (que no se rigen por licencia y que funcionan previo aviso a través de una aplicación en un dispositivo móvil) no han representado un problema. Pero los taxistas tradicionales temen que el vacío creado por una ordenanza que no entra en vigor sea la puerta por la que accedan al municipio de Cartagena. En La Manga solo hay una decena de taxis que, hasta que la nueva norma entre en vigor, tienen la exclusiva para realizar servicios con origen en aquella población, tanto en la zona de San Javier como en la de Cartagena. Los profesionales que tienen licencia en las otras dos zonas (centro y zona rural), quedan limitados a recoger a clientes solo si previamente han llevado a otros hasta allí. Mientras llega la publicación de la ordenanza, los funcionarios municipales se dedican a subsanar incongruencias en el reparto de libranzas, para poder aplicar el descanso rotatorio de un segundo día a la semana y que el servicio no quede desatendido. Infraestructuras ha enviado cartas a taxistas que no están en Unión Radio Taxi Cartagena para asignarle una letra, correspondiente al día de diario que librará, y un numero, para el que le tocará no trabajar en fin de semana. Esto tampoco ha gustado en Unión Radio Taxi. La razón es que el Ejecutivo local llegó a un acuerdo en bloque con sus asociados y ahora está utilizando otro método para clasificar a los que no lo son.
