That’s why the result wasn’t anything climatic or special as it is saving for the next and final bout that would make WWE proud with their Mix Match Challenge concept.
Overall, it’s a good chapter that reassured that the judges will play fair, aside from one biased comment, new amusing chemistry, Rindou’s secret slowly exposing that will benefit in the long run, and the long awaited battle with a special twist that either the man wants his throne back already or just a hardcore shipper.

I thought the last chapter was going for the unexpected twist for Takumi to win because it was illustrated to taunt the fans to think differently. The reality is that the outcome was always what I expected to be and the whole ruse was played for two things. One is to present and reassure that the judges will play fair and not be another Eizan’s dirty play that guaranteed a loss for the Rebels. The other is to slowly expose Rindou’s weakness, but she is silly enough to prevent the wall breaking through.
Takumi and Rindou’s dish were ready to be served at the same time, but he ends up going first. Someone really wants to lose that badly. The main ingredient is squid, which is funny because I was biased towards it, but now I like it. Takumi’s dish is Calamari Ripieni, which looks like sweet heaven even though it’s not. Rindou’s dish is like a well-rounded hamburger; I marked out when I learned that it’s a Peruvian cuisine.
It’s a good thing that the judges are actually going to play fair, including Azami. I guess we can only expect him to leave a biased comment or two for the next bout, so that’s given. Decora is actually playing fair, so no need to be alarmed. If anything, it only adds a new dynamic within the judges’ table, and it’s refreshingly amusing.
Shokugeki No Soma Manga Chapter 274
Anne being like second fiddle is comical but talk about tough break on her end. She went from the top to the bottom thanks to the changeup. Courage looks like she was supposed to head to Yuuna manga but detour here instead. The one part that isn’t a stranger is the foodgasm. It was pretty obvious that they’re here to provide a new set of fan service with new characters.
It was clear when Courage and Decora’s body are designed like “that.” Heck, I wonder if Anne was intimidated by those in the beginning; it must be the camera angle. Lingerie is the name of the show because it’s a cooking manga. Those guys’ reaction is how I will react for the final bout. It was so strange to read it like those channels that persuade you to buy their products, but hey, you get fan service. It’s forgiving since the follow-up with Anne was funny and connects the last chapter nicely; smooth play. Again poor her, but maybe she will strike back in the final bout.
After Azami’s biased comment for burying Takumi’s dish as an opener tier (douche), Rindou’s dish was clear at start that she was going to win. Honestly speaking, I rooted for her once I found out she made a Peruvian cuisine. Ugh. She killed a poor gator but I can’t hate her at all. It’s harder when she makes funny and adorable expressions in this chapter. Plus, that barbarian design is begging for a figurine to be made. I read the description thoroughly like I really want to tell my parents about it; I would like to eat something like that. It sounds like it would be impossible for me though, because Rindou added in a special ingredient to the mix.
Katsuragi And Ayumi
Arapaima is one fish I never heard of, but good to know. She’s lucky to have special connection with companies to provide her special ingredients. After the funny ads that Anne could be seen as a role model, Rindou wins, much like the last bout only in reverse in terms of result, and Takumi asks the question that catches her off-guard. It’s as if Takumi almost come off as a winner with that remark, but Rindou runs away calling him “idjit.” I don’t know if that’s a reference from The Ryuo’s Work is Never Done, but it would match up well with her childish behavior, so that’s the point? Whatever it is, she is definitely hiding something.
The real surprise isn’t the final four contestants. It’s the fact that the next bout won’t go with the normal tradition of one-on-one with assist. It’s going to be a Tag Team Match, thanks to Senzaemon, who channeled Teddy Long from WWE. That’s funny because I was fine with two one-on-one battles; however, this change is not only good for pacing, but the outcome is less farfetched than what earlier intended. Soma defeating Tsukasa was worrisome, as much as the Battle Shounen character somehow defeats the odds because tension, what’s that. Now, I can buy into his defeat because of tag team.
Perhaps Senzaemon may have agreed to Azami’s terms unless he can set his own rule in which the next bout is the last. It’s probably his plan to rely on them to take out Azami and his foolish ideology of cooking. Then again, perhaps he just wants to end this arc and reclaim his throne. Then again (again), he really wants to set that ship sail and that ship is Soma and Erina.
Manga: Expressionless Kashiwada San And Emotional Oota Kun Chapter
Praise the Sun! We are going to get a literal pairing war. Could you imagine the imagery with those two? What could it be? Ballroom dancing? King and Queen? They are up against the barbarian and the knight. Why I couldn’t get any of this in Battle Shounen manga? Oh right, the heroine just cheer and watches. How retro. Not to mention, Rindou versus Erina? This is nosebleed worthy match and if I can, I will die from blood loss. Senzaemon, you built the ship, didn’t you! All hail to Senzaemon!
Overall, it was an enjoyable chapter that played the parts well. It wasn’t going to be that tensed since the focus is clearly not on the winner but what
