One Piece deserves every single one of those volumes sold. The fact that, 20 years in, it still is, by far, the best action/shounen manga series is outrageous. What a crazy good series...

Yup, not once have I ever thought Man, it's time for this to end already. It just never gets old for me, in large part due to the extensive worldbuilding. Got like a million things left I can't wait to see happen in this manga lol

Exactly! Oda does some masterful worldbuilding, every new story arc he comes up with feels like a natural progression of everything that came before, but at the same time he keeps finding ways of surprising his audience and going in unexpected ways. The current story arc is seemingly coming to an end, we can easily guess where he's going next in broad strokes, but there are still tons of wild cards in the equation (Weevil, the Revolutionaries' HQ ordeal, the Reverie) which I'm sure will weave into the story in ways we still can't imagine. I feel like a little kid, waiting for something in equal parts familiar and new.

Well One Piece is a masterpiece so it's success isn't surprising, even it's weakest arcs are better than 90% of the best arcs of other mangas ( hyperbole for sure ), only HunterXhunter could came close but still far from it.

The first half of Vinland Saga is similar to Berserk in spirit, but the latter half becomes quite a bit more philosophical and introspective a la Planetes (which is the author's first major work).
