They are similar but there different enough for it not to be annoying. It is like they are in the same genre but still not the same story. For example in solo leveling the main character surprisingly enough goes solo or with one other person most of the time but in I am the sorcerer king the main character has a party plus he joins a big orginaization also different to solo leveling.So I deffinitly recomend both.

While Sorcerer King everyone has a leveling system, compared to Solo Leveling which only the mc has a leveling system, the mc has knowledge of his previous life where he was a powrful sorcerer and he uses that knowledge to become stronger than everyone else. Both are about weak to strong mc pretty much.
Similar structure both extremely overpowered. The environment are also the same, portals appear out of nowhere and they have to defeat the boss in order to close it. In addition, they are both lowkey.

The two are extremely similar, the main and honestly only obvious difference is that the mc in 'I am the Sorcerer King' is reincarnated, both mc's are powerful and crafty and they fully utilise the power and knowledge they have or have been granted
Both have monsters in it which are the main ressource in this world valued by hunters which job is to hunt with their powers granted by a mysterious yet overwhelming entity.
Both main characters are OP or become OP. They absolutely smash everything in sight. Both have video game setting with system in place. Highly recommend to read if you've read the other.

They both have great plots. The main characters are similar, they both are/become rather OP (In a good way). The world setting is similar with the gates/dungeons that open up around the world.
I think ybat ig you liked solo leveling you may like i am tge sorceror king because they are both over powered near the end. Solo leveling has a better storyline, but i am the sorceror king is is 4/5.
Both act on the premise of portals that hold monsters and both are slightly OP. Where sorceror king is different is that the mc seems open to working with a team and improving others.

Its not only the overpower hunter who can solo-clear the high tier dungeon, but also about the unique power. This MC is absolutely in par with Sung Jin-Woo in term of skill (or even better?) His skill is have unique power to create magical things combined with technology. He can have unlimited mana supply from nuclear power plant. He even can colonize Mars. I don't think even Sung Jin-Woo can do that! Thats why its nice webtoon to read.
They are just very similar and very good. The art is phenomenal the story is a bit lacking but good nonetheless. Love it when the MC is op like this.
Both mangas have very similar concepts, story arcs and general vibe. For someone they might even seem like copies, but after starting out the scope of problems MCs deal with goes in different directions.

I agree to a certain degree. While in Solo Leveling they completely focus on the Hunters themselves and how overpowered they become to the point of being as powerful as Nations, and even in some cases more powerful than Nations, in I am Sorcerer King it takes a different stance on that. The Nations try to retain their influence and instead of getting offuscated by the powerful Hunters they try to work with them and strengthen their own forces. In Solo Leveling we have a more centered story around the MC, while in I am a Sorcerer King tries to dip just a little into the side of politics in a world very similar to Solo Leveling. It's a breath of fresh air in a very similar story.

The art styles are quite different but the stories themselves hold very similar plot points. The mcs share similar values and overarching goals. If you like one you'll likely like the other. I will note that I am the Sorcerer King starts off slower and less intense than Solo Leveling.
