Android The Novel (人造人間キカイダー The Novel（ザ・ノベル） , Jinzō Ningen Kikaidā Za Noberu ) is a novel published by Kadokawa Shoten on July 25, 2013. The author is Keisuke Matsuoka and the cover art is by Kenichi Muraeda.
After a great earthquake that struck Japan, a leading scientist in robotics named Dr. Komyoji had gone missing. The evil organization DARK attempts to lure out Dr. Komyoji's children. When they try to kidnap his daughter Mitsuko Komyoji, a mysterious guitarist appears.
It was released in paperback ten months before the release of the movie by KADOKAWA, which produced the movie REBOOT together with Toei. In addition to the movie, it is based on past -related works such as the old TV series and the original manga, and the stage is arranged into a modern novel. Rather than writing by a side job of a screenwriter or a newcomer writer as seen in the novelization of tokusatsu programs, by appointing Keisuke Matsuoka, a novelist known for the Detective versus Detectives and All-Round Appraiser Q series, etc. At 420 pages, it is a rich, hard sci-fi epic with a rich writing style.
